Quality Building Products circa 1985

Our History

The roots of our business trace back to 1966, when the facility was first built and operated by Weyerhaeuser Wood Products. For two decades, it served as a cornerstone in the wood products industry, providing reliable materials to area lumber dealers and industrial customers.

In 1986, the location was purchased by Quality Wholesale Building Products, Inc. of N. Little Rock, AR, and operated as Quality Building Products. Under this ownership group, the company’s main focus was the industrial sector and specialized in the distribution of specialty panels  such as hardwood plywoods, TFL panels, Medium Density Fiber, and Particleboard across the Greater St. Louis region.
   

Most recently, in 2024, the business entered a new chapter when it was acquired by Wetterman, a local, family-owned company, and now operates as Quality Building Products, LLC. Through this transition, Quality Building Products, LLC has expanded its product lines to become a full-line Wholesale Lumber and Building Materials Distributor, while also continuing to service the industrial sector its roots are based in. It has also expanded its territory beyond the St. Louis Region to include Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois as well as portions of Iowa and Indiana. The company remains committed to its long-standing tradition of service, while embracing innovation and growth for the future.
